Vietnam attends international seminar on political parties
(VOVworld) - A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Tran Dac Loi, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations, attended the 17th international seminar called “Political parties and a new society” in Mexico City. More than 1,000 delegates from 109 organizations and 38 countries participated in the seminar over the past 3 days. Loi highlighted general lessons on Vietnam’s socialist oriented social development over the past 25 years of renewal. He said Vietnam is aware of the fact that building socialism while embracing an open market economy and integration means accepting an open fight between socialism and capitalism inside the society, which poses great challenges to Vietnamese communists. During the seminar, the CPV delegation met separately with representatives of political parties from Mexico, and other Latin American countries. The delegation paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Friendship between Nations Park and visit several historical and cultural relic sites in Mexico.
