(VOVworld) - A dozen of Vietnamese travel agencies have participated in the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition to promote popular sites of Vietnam in Russia . The event gathered more than 3,000 companies from nearly 200 countries. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Head of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism’s Market Department, said Russia was an important tourist market for Vietnam , especially its central coastal region. She says that Vietnam aims to attract 300,000 visits by Russian by 2014. She said:“The Tourism Administration has frequently joined the exhibition and improved our booths to lure more visitors. We have run sociologist survey, presented gifts and held performances during the event. We have discussed with the Vietnamese Embassy and Trade Mission to launch promotion and communications campaigns about Vietnamese tourism potentials.”
