Vietnam Space Museum inaugurated at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Hanoi

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Space Centre on Thursday inaugurated the Vietnam Space Museum at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Hanoi, as part of activities to celebrate 80 years of Vietnam’s National Day and 50th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

Covering more than 3,000 square meters, the 2-storey museum features both indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces, organized into five thematic zones and offering educational displays on planets, galaxies, and the structure of the universe.

The spatial layout is an experience space of space science and technology where visitors can go back in time together to learn about the origin of the universe, to explore today's advanced technologies.

Le Xuan Huy, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Space Centre, said, “The highlight of the Vietnam Space Museum is associated with the development of Vietnam’s space technology. With this, we want to inspire young people about space science and technology and encourage them to contribute to the nation’s science and technology development.”

Addressing the inauguration, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung urged Vietnam to further invest in space technology amid a rapidly evolving global landscape. He added the Vietnam Space Centre need to remain focused on mastering critical space technologies and developing low-Earth orbit satellites made in Vietnam.
