In an interview with the press on Monday, he said that the Congress’s direction will help consolidate Vietnam’s standing, enhance strategic autonomy, and promote selective international integration. A key requirement for Vietnam in the new development phase is a strong shift toward a sustainable development model, with science and technology as the foundation, enhanced strategic autonomy, and accelerated green transition.
Lamijo, a Southeast Asia researcher at Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), said that beyond shaping Vietnam’s domestic political direction, the 14th National Party Congress will also elevate the country’s position in Southeast Asia and globally.
