The center will research and develop technologies for marine resource exploitation; submarine and diving equipment; marine renewable energy; marine environmental monitoring; and big data and artificial intelligence applications in marine research and conservation.

It will also serve as a startup incubator to promote the commercialization of research results and help establish a marine innovation ecosystem in the central region of Vietnam.
