10 bills to be passed at year-end National Assembly session

(VOVWORLD) - The next session of the National Assembly is scheduled to open on October 21, with 10 draft laws to be adopted and another eight bills considered, according to NA Secretary General Nguyen Hanh Phuc.

Preparations for the year-end NA session are high on the agenda of the NA Standing Committee meeting which opens on July 15, 2019.

At the ongoing NA Standing Committee meeting in Hanoi on Tuesday, Mr. Phuc asked the Government to soon confirm that they will propose the legislature ratify the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) at the upcoming month-long meeting. He suggested reducing or doing away with group discussions which, he said, are time consuming and inefficient. Mr. Phuc also proposed minimizing the use of paper documents.
