Under the theme “Collaboration in a New Era”, the forum will bring together 1,500 domestic and international delegates.
Organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR) and chaired by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, it will provide a platform for policy dialogue, resource mobilization, and international cooperation as the global economy undergoes restructuring.
Discussions will focus on the role of mega cities; breakthrough technologies and innovation ecosystems; new models of cooperation; and the private sector’s role in driving growth and innovation.
Le Truong Duy, Director of HCMC C4IR, said: “At the Forum, 12 investment projects by foreign and domestic businesses, with total newly registered capital exceeding 13 billion USD, will be announced. The 10 members of the Vietnam International Financial Centre in Ho Chi Minh City will also be announced.”
“We are working on a joint statement by Ho Chi Minh City and the World Economic Forum that will focus on bilateral cooperation in mobilizing international resources to support the city’s target of double-digit growth, with a vision to 2030,” added Mr Duy.
The Autumn Economic Forum is becoming an annual platform to foster connections in science, technology, innovation, finance, investment, and sustainable development. Its goal is to enhance the standing of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City as hubs of regional and global cooperation initiatives, and enable them to play a more active role in shaping emerging development trends.
