Beneath the national flags of Vietnam and Sri Lanka and accompanied by a 21-gun salute, the national anthems of the two countries were solemnly performed by the military band.

The visit marks the first time a Vietnamese Party leader and State President has visited Sri Lanka, reflecting Vietnam’s high regard for the traditional friendship between the two countries. It is expected to open a new chapter in bilateral relations and create momentum for deeper cooperation.
