The campaign aims to plant 200,000 new trees, renovate or repair rural roads, and train entrepreneurship for 20,000 young people. Youth Union branches organize career and job counseling, introduce jobs to young people, and ensure that each commune and ward has at least one "digital literacy team". Youth also help in literacy, cashless transactions, and administrative reform of Da Nang.
The municipal Youth Union plans to support 20,000 disadvantaged children, organize free medical check-up programs, and provide gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and poor people in mountainous and border areas.
A Tinh Toan, Secretary of the Dong Giang Commune Youth Union, Da Nang City, said, the Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign has been launched with numerous meaningful and practical activities that spread widely among the commune's youth union members.
"We give gifts to disadvantaged children, offer free swimming lessons to students, give gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers and families of war invalids and martyrs who contributed to the revolution, repair houses for young people, and build self-managed youth roads. The campaign is enthusiastically responded by a large number of youth union members, showcasing their youthful energy," Toan added.
