A press conference to announce the event was held in Hanoi on Thursday by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Party Central Committee's Publicity Commission, and Hanoi’s People’s Committee.
Vietnam Culture Day activities will celebrate Vietnam’s identity, strengthen the great national unity, and encourage people to actively participate in, contribute to, and enjoy Vietnamese heritage.
One of the highlights will be the opening ceremony on November 21 next to Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem lake. Many places will organize cultural heritage performances, festivals, cultural exchanges, and exhibitions of traditional craft village products, and a new Vietnam Digital Culture Map (CMAP) platform will bring Vietnam’s cultural heritage to the public online.
Bui Ba Son, Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Publicity Commission, emphasized communication efforts before, during, and after the first Vietnam Culture Day. “Reporting on these activities should give the public a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture, an appreciation of the great national unity, and a recognition of each person’s responsibility for continuing to develop our culture,” Mr. Son said.
Vietnam Culture Day 2026 will be observed nationwide for the first time, with celebrations linked to Great National Unity Day and the 80th anniversary of the First National Cultural Conference (November 24).
