Agreement signed to fund pedestrian bridge over Sai Gon River

(VOVWORLD) - HCM City’s Transport Department and Nutifood Nutrition JSC on Monday signed an agreement on the company’s sponsorship of 41 million USD for the city’s pedestrian bridge over the Sai Gon River.

Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai said the bridge will connect the two banks of the Sai Gon River and two urban centers of District 1 and Thu Duc city. The 500m long pedestrian bridge is designed in the shape of a nipa palm leaf.

The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for April 30, 2025, which will mark 50 years of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.
