In France, a small civilian aircraft crashed in the northeastern department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, killing all 11 people on board. The aircraft, which had taken off from Nancy-Essey Airport, went down near the town of Tomblaine. The victims included the pilot and 10 skydiving trainees.
In Saudi Arabia, a helicopter operated by state oil giant Saudi Aramco crashed in the eastern coastal city of Ras Tanura, killing all 14 people on board. According to the state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA), all of the victims were Saudi nationals. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
