At least 80% of communes hope to be new-style rural areas by 2025

(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh has approved the national target program on new-style rural building until 2025 with the overall goal of continuing to effectively implement agricultural restructuring, develop the rural economy sustainably, and build model new-style rural areas and new-style hamlets.

The program also aims to improve the lives of rural people, boost gender equality, and combine sustainable rural socio-economic development with climate change adaptation.

One of its targets is to have 80% or more of the communes recognized as new-style rural areas by 2025, while the average income of rural people is set to increase at least 1.5 times compared to 2020.
