During the two-day meeting, delegates from Brazil, Germany, France, Russia and several other countries participated in roundtable discussions on topics including the international order and rule of law, emerging security challenges in the Asia-Pacific region, shared responsibilities for global security, and governance mechanisms related to the military use of emerging technologies.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum. A special session will therefore be held during the preparatory conference, bringing together leading global defense and security experts to assess the forum’s role in promoting dialogue, building consensus and narrowing differences among parties.
