The event brought together business leaders, investors, and domestic and international experts to strengthen connections, expand cooperation opportunities, and unlock new drivers of economic growth.
Addressing the event, Nguyen Cong Vinh, Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, said that this is a very special dialogue because today’s story is not just about attracting more investment capital.
“More importantly, it is about working with investors to identify emerging opportunities and new requirements, address specific development challenges, and jointly create opportunities and new growth drivers—especially amid the rapid advancement of science and technology and the growing need for global-scale capital connectivity. We want to hear directly from CEO 500 participants and international investors: from listening to connecting, and from connecting to taking action together,” Vinh noted.
Vinh said Ho Chi Minh City was ready to work with investors in four key areas: urban development linked to public transport, seaports, and logistics; the establishment of an international financial center; clean energy development; and the digital economy, technology, and innovation.
The city also aims to engage businesses in focused discussions on investment opportunities, policy mechanisms, and implementation roadmaps, with clearly defined tasks, designated focal points, and specific timelines. The goal is to turn cooperation commitments into practical projects that deliver lasting value.
Fazurin Jamaludin, Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Vietnam and Laos, said, “This is a very special dialogue because for us, today's story is not just about attracting more investment capital, but more importantly, joining hands with investors to recognize new opportunities, new requirements, jointly solve specific development problems, and co-create opportunities and new growth drivers, especially in the context of the explosion of science and technology and the demand for global-scale capital connectivity.”
“We want to listen directly from CEO 500 and international investors, to listen, from listening to connecting, and from connecting to acting together,” Fazurin added.
The program also featured discussions among leaders, experts, and business representatives on shifting global capital flows, emerging cooperation opportunities, and new engines of growth.
Through the dialogue, city authorities, Vietnamese enterprises, international corporations, and investors jointly explored opportunities and challenges in attracting high-quality investment, building a robust technology ecosystem, and mobilizing resources to support sustainable growth.
