China aims to commercialize 6G by 2030

(VOVWORLD) - A Chinese government-backed industry body on Sunday issued a white paper on 6G technology, giving industry players a clear guide and a head start on research and development for 6G, which is expected to be commercially available around 2030.

Standards organization 3GPP will begin to develop international standards for 6G technology in 2025. China began 6G research in 2019, earlier than the US.
