(VOVworld)-China and Europe have inked six investment and trade deals worth 270 million U.S.D at the ongoing Western China International Fair (WCIF) in the city of Chengdu in southwest China.

Among the six deals signed, three investment projects totaling 190 million USD will provide funding for a Sino-French sewage treatment project, a Sichuan Mianyang Haosheng BMW engine project, and increased investment in Shell Oil Company gas stations. Three other trade projects worth a total of 80 million USD were signed.
The same day, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying announced that China and the European Union will hold their fourth High-Level Economic and Trade Dialogue on Thursday in Brussels. Chinese Vice Premier Ma Kai will co-chair the dialogue with Olli Rehn, European Commission Vice-President and European economic and monetary affairs commissioner, and EU trade commissioner Karel De Gucht.
