President Xi also said that although the leaders of the two countries still maintain communication via online meetings, phone calls, and letters, but nothing could be as effective as face-to-face meetings.
President said the United States and China have a shared responsibility to show the world that they can manage their differences, and avoid and prevent misunderstandings and misperceptions or fierce competition from veering into confrontation or conflict.
