In Hai Phong city, local authorities and the United Nations Development Programme organized a ceremony marking World Environment Day and a seminar on reducing single-use plastics and promoting green lifestyles and sustainable tourism.
In Nghe An province, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment hosted a national environment and climate forum, where Ta Dinh Thi, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Science, Technology and Environment, stressed the need to strengthen environmental legislation.
“It is essential to institutionalize Party policies and guidelines on environmental protection, as this issue affects every sector, locality and citizen. Many new policies and directions have recently been introduced, so they must be thoroughly reviewed and fully reflected in legislation,” he said.
In Ho Chi Minh city, communes and wards simultaneously launched the Month of Action for the Environment and activities in response to World Environment Day 2026. Meanwhile, Ca Mau province launched a tree-planting campaign assigning specific responsibilities to agencies, residential communities and individuals.
