The commitment was announced on Friday at the Da Nang Semiconductor and High Technology Workshop 2026, which authorities said will become an annual event of the city.
Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, told participants: “We want to show investors and global strategic partners that Da Nang offers ready-to-use infrastructure, a business-friendly policy environment, and a strategic location with its high-tech park and digital technology zones. The city has developed the most favorable policy framework for strategic investors, experts, scientists, and businesses operating across the semiconductor, integrated circuit, and high-tech electronics supply chains."
Discussions focused on chiplet technology, advanced packaging, smart wearable devices, drones, AI-powered smart city cameras, and experiences in building a semiconductor ecosystem.
The workshop is one of the initiatives to implement the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57 on breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. It follows the Law on the Digital Technology Industry and the special mechanisms and policies approved by the National Assembly specifically for Da Nang.
