Deputy Prime Minister Tuc worked with the leaders of An Giang province and representatives of ministries, sectors, and units on the progress of APEC projects in the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone on Thursday.

Preparations are being carried out not only in Phu Quoc but also in many other localities, ensuring the coordination of infrastructure, accommodation facilities, services, and other projects serving high-level delegations, he said.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that relevant parties strengthen dialogue and coordinate closely to resolve obstacles, promptly agree on a solution in accordance with the law, and ensure the timely progress of the Phu Quoc International Airport project.

He assigned tasks to the Ministry of Finance, the People's Committee of An Giang province, and the Vietnam Electricity Group to review and invest in safe and continuous electricity supply; underground power infrastructure in accordance with landscape requirements; and invest in water supply and wastewater treatment facilities.
