Making its DIFF debut, Germany’s Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke GmbH & Co. KG presented a show titled “Pyrographics,” transforming the night sky into a giant canvas of light through fireworks synchronized precisely with music.
Drawing on more than 150 years of experience in the fireworks industry, the team showcased its technical expertise and artistic flair through a seamless blend of sound, light and colour. Carefully programmed fireworks and lighting effects created a series of striking visual images.
Meanwhile, Apple Pyrotechnics Co., Ltd of Macau captivated spectators with a storytelling performance entitled “Celestial Journey to the West.” Inspired by the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, the display combined orchestral and electronic music with water-based pyrotechnic effects, bringing the legendary tale to life through layers of vibrant, multicoloured light.
The next competition night of DIFF 2026 will take place next Saturday, featuring a showdown between teams from Australia and Portugal under the theme “Vision.” The festival’s grand finale is scheduled for July 11.
