The working session focused on preparations for the new school year 2026-2027 and results of implementing the Politburo’s Resolution 71 dated August 22, 2025 on breakthrough development of education and training.

General Secretary and President Lam said the preparation for the new school year is the first test of the Politburo's ability to implement Resolution 71 in practice. Therefore, localities are responsible for ensuring enough facilities, schools, classrooms, textbooks, and minimum teaching equipment for the new school year. “We are determined not to let any student unable to go to school because of difficult circumstances,” the Party and State leader said.

"The policy must follow the principle that places with more difficulty will receive more support, and teachers who teach in more difficult places will receive better treatment," Mr. Lam said.

"For ethnic minority, mountainous, and border areas, and islands, priority should be given to preschool, Vietnamese language before grade 1, boarding, school meals, teachers' public houses, and safe roads to school. In these places, schools teach literacy and also community institutions, contributing to preserving culture, strengthening trust, and protecting borders."

"For children with disabilities and special circumstances, we must develop truly inclusive education and need supportive teachers, assistive devices, appropriate programs and medical-social connections," according to the top leader.
