According to Iranian state television, European countries on Saturday began negotiations with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps regarding transit permits for vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The move follows Tehran’s recent approval for vessels from several Asian countries, including China, Japan, and Pakistan, to navigate through the strategic waterway. The information, however, has not yet been confirmed by European authorities.
