Finance Minister Dinh Tien Dung named Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee

(VOVWORLD) - The Party Politburo has just appointed Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung as Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee. The appointment will be officially announced at a meeting of the Hanoi Party Committee on Saturday.

Mr. Dung’s predecessor is Vuong Dinh Hue, who was elected Chairman of the National Assembly on Wednesday.

Dinh Tien Dung has been a member of the Party Central Committee since early 2011, a member of the Politburo since early 2021, and a National Assembly deputy since 2016. Since May 2013, he has held the post of Minister of Finance.
