The award was presented at the 5th Trans-Pacific Sustainability Dialogue, held in Singapore this week.

The team had to present its idea for reusing agricultural by-products to preserve food and reduce packaging waste and defend it against entries from the National University of Singapore, Stanford University in the US, Yonsei University in South Korea, and other top universities.

The Student Innovation Showcase promotes innovative solutions to global environmental challenges and encourages young people to help build a sustainable future, focusing on UN Sustainable Development Goal 12 (responsible production and consumption).
