At a ceremony in Hanoi on Friday, Ambassador Salama said the award reflects not only recognition of Madam Binh’s enduring contributions to Palestine’s struggle for national independence, peace, and justice, but also the deep gratitude of the Palestinian state and people to a loyal friend who has consistently supported Palestine over many decades.
The Ambassador called Ms. Binh a symbol of courage, diplomatic wisdom, and steadfast commitment to the principles of international law. He said she has consistently spoken out in defense of justice, human rights, and the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to live in freedom, independence, and dignity in their homeland. Ambassador Salama said he is confident that the friendship and cooperation between Palestine and Vietnam will continue to grow in the years ahead.
Ms. Binh expressed her gratitude to the State of Palestine for awarding her a prestigious honor that reflects the friendship, solidarity, and respect extended by Palestine to her and to the Vietnamese people.
She said the award was not only a personal honor, but also recognition of the longstanding tradition of solidarity and mutual support between the Vietnamese and Palestinian peoples in their struggles for national independence, peace and justice.
