Meeting Jonathan Yap, CEO of CapitaLand Development Group, General Secretary and President Lam welcomed CapitaLand's orientation to continue developing projects in Vietnam, towards high quality, efficient land use, connectivity with urban infrastructure, and contributing to the upgrading of major cities in Vietnam.
Vietnam always stands alongside and creates favorable conditions for foreign investors, including CapitaLand, Mr. Lam requested the company to continue as a long-term investment partner, contributing to Vietnam-Singapore economic cooperation in the new phase.
Jonathan Yap expressed wish to cooperate with Vietnam to expand investment in urban areas, green housing, industrial real estate, logistics, and green data centers.
Receiving Wong Kim Yin, CEO of Sembcorp, a group operating in energy, urban infrastructure, industrial parks, and solutions supporting energy transition and sustainable development, top leader Lam called on the company to continue investing in areas where Vietnam has needs.
The goal is for all 34 provinces and cities in Vietnam to have at least one Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP), which will become green, smart industrial parks, innovation centers, digital infrastructure, modern logistics, and a low-emission manufacturing ecosystem, he said.
The CEO of Sembcorp expressed his desire to continue investing and doing business in Vietnam, actively support Vietnam in training high-quality human resources, transfer technology, and boost cooperation with foreign investors who are exploring investment and business opportunities in Vietnam.
Also Saturday afternoon, General Secretary and President To Lam met with leaders of SATS, SEA Limited, Keppel, and UOB Bank.
