In an interview with VOV on Saturday, Samdech Men Sam An said General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was an excellent leader with a farsighted vision who dedicated all his strength and intelligence to the revolutionary cause of Vietnam throughout his life. He said his passing is a huge loss for Vietnam and ASEAN has also lost a prominent leader.

She said: "I'm very honored to have known and met General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong many times during my visits to Vietnam as well as during his visits to Cambodia. He is very close and friendly."

Samdech Men Sam An said General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's leadership significantly contributed to Vietnam's recent socio-economic development and enhancing the Party's reputation both domestically and internationally, helping Vietnam attract investment and elevating Vietnam's position on the global stage.

Additionally, the General Secretary was dedicated to fostering the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship and promoting cooperative activities through various channels, including Party channels, Front channels, friendship associations, women's associations, and other organizations of the two countries.
