On Monday Scholz met with President Joe Biden to discuss security issues in Europe, Germany's priorities as president of the Group of Seven (G7), the COVID-19 pandemic, global trade, and bilateral relations between Germany and the US.
Later Chancellor Scholz will visit Ukraine and Russia to try to de-escalate tensions in Eastern Europe.
