Get-together held for OVs in HCMC to mark National Day

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Party and State always consider overseas Vietnamese an inseparable part of Vietnam, asking them to uphold Vietnam’s national pride and traditions while contributing to national development.

Phung Cong Dung, Chairman of the HCM City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, gave these remarks on Friday in Ho Chi Minh City at an event for overseas Vietnamese to mark the 75^th anniversary of Vietnam’s August Revolution on August 19 and National Independence Day on September 2. He hailed contributions of overseas Vietnamese to Ho Chi Minh City’s development over the years.

The HCM City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese also launched a writing contest called “A 15-year journey – Summer camp for young overseas Vietnamese together with Ho Chi Minh City’s youth.”
