The project identifies women as the center of the development process, with innovation serving as the driving force, while digital transformation and green transformation are considered the main approaches.

In the next 10 years, the city aims for more than 90% of women union members to improve their awareness of entrepreneurship, while supporting tens of thousands of women-owned businesses, cooperatives, and household enterprises in accessing capital, technology, markets, and sustainable business models.

According to Vu Tien Phung, supporting women’s entrepreneurship helps enhance women’s economic empowerment and creates momentum for the city’s socio-economic development.

“The Hai Phong People’s Committee is committed to coordinating closely with the municipal Women’s Union and relevant agencies to help women to start their business. Different support measures will be designed for different groups to ensure effectiveness and practicality. As Hai Phong is revising its master plan, support programs for women must also align with the city’s development orientation, taking into account specific sectors, actual needs, and feasibility,” Phung said.
