The Hai Phong Free Trade Zone spans 6,290 hectares linked to the Dinh Vu-Cat Hai Economic Zone and the Southern Hai Phong Coastal Economic Zone. The free trade zone is planned will develop into a center for manufacturing, logistics, trade and services, high technology, and finance.

“The Hai Phong Free Trade Zone applies the principle of maximum openness in procedures for investors. For priority sectors such as high technology, semiconductors, AI, R&D, IT, and strategic infrastructure, special investment procedures are applied, simplifying procedures to the maximum extent. Foreign investors do not need to go through obtaining an investment registration certificate beforehand but follow the same procedures as domestic investors on an equal footing,” said Nguyen Van Chuan, Deputy Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board.

In addition to preferential policies on investment, taxes, land, and human resource development, the ongoing projects such as Tien Lang Industrial Park 1 and Tien Lang Airport Industrial Park-Zone B will turn Hai Phong Free Trade Zone into a new growth pole of the city and the region.
