Running until next Monday, the festival will screen 117 films of 51 participating countries and territories, including the United States, France, Germany, Sweden, Russia, China, and Japan.

Vu Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee and co-chair of the Festival's Steering Committee, addressed the opening ceremony: Following the success of previous festivals, this year’s event features diverse genres of films including documentaries, and animated films. There has been an upgrade in both quality and scale with creative styles of expression. This is an opportunity for domestic and international producers, directors, and artists to spread their professional passion, explore opportunities for production cooperation, and expand the cinema market.”

Films will be screened in Hanoi at the National Cinema Center, the BHD Star Cineplex, and the CGV Mipec Tower.
