Located about 60 kilometers from central Hanoi, Muong Coc boasts a scenic landscape of Bai Bo Lake, lotus ponds, rice fields, and limestone mountains. The area is also rich in cultural traditions, including Muong gong performances, folk songs, traditional herbal medicine, and local cuisine.

“The harmony between nature, culture, and local people gives Muong Coc its unique identity. With the message ‘Muong Coc – Find your Peace,’ we hope every visitor will experience a slower pace of life, connect more deeply with nature, and better appreciate the cultural values reflected in every home, every meal, every gong performance, every folk song, and the hospitality of the Muong people here,” said Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism.

A highlight of the tourism offering is the program “A Day as a Muong Villager,” which provides visitors with hands-on experiences such as wearing traditional costumes, taking part in farming activities, preparing local dishes, learning to play gongs, singing Muong folk songs, and exploring the countryside by bicycle or on foot.

“The project will create new opportunities for economic restructuring, generate livelihoods, raise local incomes, and improve residents’ quality of life. Its launch marks an important milestone in enriching Hanoi’s tourism offerings with an authentic and distinctive community-based tourism experience,” said Nguyen Quang Duong, Chairman of the My Duc Commune People’s Committee.
