Organized by the Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam Cultural and Scientific Activities Center, Art Tree Workshop and the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the contest has received 400 paintings from young participants since it was launched more than a month ago.
The works showcased the innocent, creative, yet emotionally rich perspectives of the younger generation on Vietnamese heritage. Each artwork tells a unique story and expresses love for their homeland, national pride, and the younger generation's concern for preserving cultural heritage.
Bao Lam, a prize winner and student from Tran Quy Cap Upper Secondary School from Da Nang City, said, “My artwork is titled 'Heritage Dance.' I drew young women dancing the Cham Pa dance with the magnificent architecture in the background. My inspiration came from two heritage sites: My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An Ancient Town. I wanted to convey the message that heritage is the pride of our homeland, and every student needs to cherish and be proud of it so that heritage will always shine brightly.”
The Organizing Committee awarded 7 official prizes and 3 most popular artworks voted by the online community. In addition, 40 representative works will be displayed at the Temple of Literature and the Hanoi Museum.
