At supermarkets like Co.opmart, Metro, BigC, Giga Mall, and Emart the number of people coming to shop increased.
Tran Hong Phuc shopping at Vinmart Thu Duc supermarket said: “The Lunar New Year is still nearly a month away, it’s a bit early to go on a shopping spree now. I am mainly buying personal household items. However, I also see many discounted items such as confectionery and drinks. Most of them have promotional discounts.”
The best-selling items are food, fresh food, beverages, clothing, and shoes.
