Indonesia court rejects appeal of presidential election result

(VOVWORLD) - Indonesia’s Constitutional Court on Thursday rejected the appeal filed by Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno against the General Elections Commission’s declaration of Joko Widodo as the winner of the April’s presidential election.

President Joko Widodo and Ma'ruf Amin will serve as Indonesia's president and vice president for the 2019-2024 period.

After the ruling was announced, the Indonesian Ulama Council called on the Indonesian people to heal the divisions due to differences in political views.
