In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026), Ms. Schmidt commended Vietnam’s economic development achievements and its deepening international integration.
She said Vietnam has stood out in attracting foreign investment, boosting exports, and increasingly integrating into global value chains.
Commenting on the policies adopted by the Communist Party of Vietnam at its 14th National Congress and the recent National Assembly elections, she described leadership consolidation and renewal as a positive step ensuring continuity and development.
According to her, Vietnam’s strategic priorities on rapid and sustainable growth, striving for high and potentially double-digit growth rates, accelerating industrialization and modernization linked with digital transformation, and expanding international integration, are key to helping the country respond effectively to global changes.
