The event will cover nearly 150 ha and feature more diverse activities than the previous two editions. Exhibition booths will showcase advanced defence and security products, including those studied and manufactured by Vietnam, and notable weapons and military equipment in service with the Vietnam People’s Army.

“This year’s Expo will draw more domestic and international partners, including reputable global defence and security corporations, traditional friends, and Vietnam’s strategic partners,” Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Head of the Expo’s Organizing Committee, said.

“It will showcase weapons and defence technologies and serve as a platform to connect resources to realize the Party’s guidelines of building a proactive, self-reliant, self-sufficient, dual-use, and modern defence industry, aligned with the goal of building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnam People’s Army as the core force for a strong all-people national defence.”

The Organizing Committee noted that the products on display will clearly convey Vietnam’s defence message of peace and self-defence for national stability and development, not aiming at threatening others or engaging in an arms race.

The Vietnam International Defence Expo 2026 is an important defence diplomacy event, aiming to realize the Party’s major policies on international integration and defence diplomacy, promote science and technology, innovation, and disseminate Vietnamese culture to the world.
