When employees’ rights are safeguarded and their material and spiritual well-being ensured, they are better able to devote their energy and creativity to their work.
“From the aspiration for an eight-hour workday to the pursuit of national independence and reunification, Vietnam’s working class has fought for its own rights while shouldering the nation’s historic mission,” said Nguyen Anh Tuan, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
“The spirit of International Workers’ Day is not only about solidarity in workers’ struggles, but also a symbol of the determination to rise up and contribute to building and safeguarding a socialist Vietnam.”
On this occasion, the trade union leader extended a message of congratulations to workers nationwide.
