A funeral procession is scheduled to pass through Tehran on July 6 before continuing to the holy city of Qom and then to Najaf and Karbala in Iraq.
Burial is set for July 9 at the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad. Iranian authorities said the funeral was delayed after the conflict eased to ensure security and allow nationwide public mourning for the leader, who ruled Iran for 37 years.
