In a televised interview, Qalibaf outlined five priorities: ending hostilities across the region, including in Lebanon; lifting the blockade on Iran's ports and coastal areas; reopening the Strait of Hormuz; introducing a temporary sanctions waiver for Iran's oil sector to allow crude oil exports; and releasing Iran's frozen assets.

Qalibaf said a joint committee involving the United States, Iran, and Lebanon will be formed to oversee implementation of the ceasefire in Lebanon, adding that Tehran is closely following developments related to the mechanism. He noted that both Iran and the US have appointed representatives.

In the interview, Qalibaf said that while Tehran is prioritizing diplomacy, it is prepared for military confrontation if the United States fails to honor its commitments under their memorandum of understanding.
