Iraq’s Joint Operation Committee announced on Monday that Infantry Division 15, backed by helicopters and warplanes killed 65 gunmen and 15 suicide bombers and destroyed 4 strongholds of the IS in a village, 11 km north of Tal Afar. The same day, a spokesperson for the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Communications Office said government forces liberated 90% of the territory occupied by the terrorists. The Iraqi army has deployed more troops to the North to prepare for another operation to wipe out further militants.
