Clashes between the two sides have continued despite a 10-day ceasefire reached on April 16 and later extended by three weeks. Lebanon’s Health Ministry said on Saturday that Israeli attacks since the conflict erupted in early March have killed more than 2,600 people, injured over 8,000 others, and displaced more than 1.2 million people across the country.

Hezbollah’s director of media relations, Youssef Al-Zein, said the group deployed reinforcements and weapons to southern Lebanon, while confirming the use of fiber-optic-controlled drones against Israeli forces. According to the Israeli military, such fiber-optic-guided drone attacks have killed two of its soldiers and one civilian contractor in less than a week.
