The Vietnamese delegation, led by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, laid a wreath to pay tribute to the late Prime Minister. President Phuc expressed deep condolences to the Liberal Democratic Party, the Government, the Parliament and people of Japan and Abe Shinzo’s family. He thanked the late Prime Minister for contributing to the development of Vietnam-Japan ties.
Japanese Prime Minister Kishida and Mrs. Abe Akie, Abe Shinzo’s wife, thanked the Vietnamese President and the delegation for attending the state funeral, saying it’s a special acknowledgment of the late PM’s contributions to the Vietnam-Japan relationship and a demonstration of the Vietnamese Party, State and people’s respect for the extensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
