The plan is expected to be submitted to the Secretariat for issuance later this month, PM Hung told a session on improving labor productivity and workforce quality, ensuring workers’ welfare, and building a modern, safe working environment, held as part of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress in Hanoi on Friday.
“To enable workers to harness science and technology, proactively embrace digital transformation, strengthen their capacity for innovation, and avoid falling behind in the digital era, businesses themselves must take the lead in driving this process. The Government has policies in place to support digital skills training, new vocational skills development, reskilling, and career transition training,” he said.
The Prime Minister emphasized that greater attention must also be paid to social infrastructure serving workers and their families, including housing, schools, childcare facilities, healthcare services, and cultural and sports amenities.
Also on Friday, the new leadership of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labour was introduced. Nguyen Anh Tuan was re-elected as its President for the 2026-2031 term.
