President Phuc presented the first-class Independence Order to the Party organisation, administration, and people of Lang Son for their particularly excellent achievements.
In his address, President Phuc said despite numerous difficulties of a mountainous and border locality, Lang Son has brought into play the revolutionary tradition, upheld solidarity, mobilized resources, and tapped into potential and advantages to become increasingly developed in terms of economy, society, culture, defence, security, and external relations. He asked the province to strongly combine socio-economic development with consolidating defence - security, maintaining political stability and social order and safety, and firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security, to build a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development. Lang Son needs to foster the traditional ties and cross-border trade with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and other localities of China to create a peaceful, stable, and favourable environment for socio-economic development, he added.
