Welcoming Mr. McIntyre on his new assignment in Vietnam, Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed confidence that, with his experience and understanding, the newly-assigned US diplomat will make positive contributions to further strengthening Vietnam–US relations in a substantive and effective manner, in line with the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Highly appreciative of the cooperation outcomes between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and US law enforcement agencies in recent years, the Minister said these achievements have made practical contributions to ensuring national security and social order in both countries.
Expressing his honor to assume his role in Vietnam at a time when bilateral relations are developing positively, Mr. McIntyre affirmed that he intends to closely coordinate with Vietnamese agencies, including the Ministry of Public Security, to further deepen cooperation between the two countries in an increasingly substantive, effective, and result-oriented manner.
