Moscow will decide whether to maintain its suspension of negotiations with Kiev according to the situation on the battlefield, said Ushakov.

Russian marines captured a group of 19 Ukrainian soldiers in Kurskon Monday, according to the state RIA news agency. Meanwhile, the Russian southern city of Proletarsk declared a state of emergency after an oil facility was attacked by a Ukrainian drone, causing a fire that lasted for more than 24 hours.

Germany and its partners in the Group of Seven (G7) are finalizing a plan to give Ukraine military aid which was agreed upon at the G7 Summit in June.
